Learn & Grow Together
Spanish & English Conversation Classes
What it is: A friendly, relaxed class to practice a new language. Perfect for English learners or Spanish learners!
Details: Tuesdays, 6:00–7:30 PM at the FACE Center. Classes are on a break and will be back in January!  Look for our fliers in the next newsletter.

PIQE Parent Leadership Series
What it is: A fantastic workshop series that gives you the inside scoop on how to best support your child's education, understand the school system, and plan for college. Our fall series was a huge hit!
What's Next: A new series on Math Literacy starts after the new year! We'll help you understand today's math teaching so you can confidently help with homework. Offered in English and Spanish.  Look for our fliers in the next newsletter.

Zumba Classes
What it is: A super-fun dance fitness party! It’s a great way to get moving, relieve stress, and meet other parents. No experience needed—just come as you are!
Details: Wednesdays, 6:30–7:30 PM at the FACE Center.

Health & Wellness for Your Family
Mobile Dental Clinic
What it is: A dentist's office on wheels! The Bay Area Community Health clinic parks at our FACE Center to provide free and low-cost dental check-ups and treatments for the whole family.
Details: 1st & 3rd Mondays of the month.

What is a Community Liaison in MHUSD?

A Community Liaison provides a vital link between home and school to facilitate communication with our bilingual families. We provide a warm welcome for new families, cultivate positive family relationships, and help our school leaders and faculty build partnerships that promote a strong sense of community.

Our goal is to remove barriers and engage all families within the district to strengthen academic and socio-emotional success for every student. The Community Liaisons also coordinate access to school, district, and community services to connect families with resources that assist and enrich the whole family.
