Welcome to the Morgan Hill Unified Team

 

Please join us in welcoming these new team members to our district.

Penny Timboe is a highly knowledgeable school finance expert with over 22 years of experience leading districts’ school finance divisions.

Penny is currently the Director of External Services for the Butte County Office of Education. Prior to that assignment, she served as the Chief Business Official in the Cambrian School District, the Corning Union Elementary and High School Districts. Prior to that, Ms. Timboe served as the Business Manager for the Pierce Joint Unified School District and the Reed Creek Elementary School District. 

Penny believes in working collaboratively to ensure our students receive the best educational experience possible and looks forward to joining our team beginning September 7.

Patrick Sánchez has distinguished himself as a true educational leader in a variety of school districts. 

He is the recipient of the White House’s Champions of Change Award. Patrick has been a teacher,  Middle School Principal, High School Principal, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources in Aurora Public Schools, Superintendent of Adams 14 School District, Newark Unified School District and Reef Sunset Unified School District.

Patrick is dedicated to his family and looks forward to being a part of the mission and vision of the Morgan Hill Unified School District. He will join our team September 1.

Dr. Diana Jiménez is a lifelong educator who has dedicated her life to the pursuit of creating educational opportunities for California’s school children.

She began her career as a classified employee and later as an English teacher at Delhi High School. While there, she devoted herself to strengthening her school site’s college preparatory courses and programs. She rose up the ranks serving as Assistant Principal, Principal, Director of Educational Services in South Monterey County, Director of Secondary School Support at the Stanislaus County Office of Education, and Chief Academic Officer in the Planada Elementary School District. Most recently, she served two districts as Superintendent of Schools–Winters Joint Unified School District and the Merced City School District. 

She’s thrilled to be joining the Morgan Hill Unified School District family and is excited to  work shoulder-to-shoulder with all of our dedicated educators who work tirelessly on behalf of our students. She looks forward to meeting our wonderful staff, students, families and community. Diana will join our team August 7.

Maggie Zapata is joining us from the Franklin Mckinley School District. She embarked on her journey as a school bus driver in 1987 with a passion for ensuring the safety and well-being of the students she transported. Over the years, her dedication and commitment to excellence has led her to expand her horizon and to take on new challenges within the field of transportation and education.

Her determination to make a difference led her to seek certification as a State Certified School Bus Instructor in 2013. She is dedicated to safety, fostering a supportive environment, is committed to ongoing learning, and is genuinely passionate about nurturing the growth and development of others.

Gianmario Oddi comes to us from Los Gatos-Saratoga School District.  Gianmario is a Chef at heart and loves to cook. He was born and raised in Italy, attended culinary school in Italy and has worked in the food and hospitality industry for over 20 years. He and his wife, who also works in our district, live in Morgan Hill and have 3 children. He is excited to work in the community he lives in, and serve in the district where his kids go to school.
